16 Years on the Track — Concepción's Big Skateboarding and Fingerboard Event

On May 30th, Plaza Bélgica becomes the heart of skateboarding and fingerboarding in the Biobío Region. Galofingerboard celebrates 16 years in style: open competition, free entry, top brands, and the entire community on the track.

What is GaloFest?

GaloFest is the anniversary event of Galofingerboard, the Chilean brand of handmade fingerboards crafted in Penco, Biobío Region. With over 16 years in the scene, Galofingerboard doesn't just make boards: it builds a community around skateboarding and fingerboarding.

Every year, GaloFest brings the community together in a public space to compete, share, and celebrate a culture that goes far beyond a sport.

• Location: Plaza Bélgica, Concepción
• Admission: Free

⚠️ Important: The event takes place in winter. Daylight hours are limited, so punctuality is essential to make the most of the day.

How to Get to Plaza Bélgica

Plaza Bélgica is located in the center of Concepción, one of the city's most emblematic and accessible public spaces.

• By bus: Multiple lines stop in the downtown area. Get off downtown and walk to the plaza.
• By car: There are public parking lots a few blocks away. Arrive early to secure a spot.
• On foot: If you are in downtown Concepción, Plaza Bélgica is perfectly accessible by walking.
• Reference: Central civic area of Concepción, Regional Intendance sector.

Competition Format

Fingerboard

Two categories for all levels:

• Beginner Category: For those just starting out. Friendly atmosphere, no pressure, focused on participating and having fun.
• Advanced Category: For riders with technical mastery. Creativity, line fluidity, full use of the track, and trick difficulty will be evaluated.

Evaluation criteria: best line, spot mastery, use of the track, and quality of trick execution.

Skateboarding

• Open Modality: No category or age restrictions. Everyone is welcome to compete.
• Best Trick: A separate event where each participant performs their best individual trick. An opportunity to shine in a single move.

The judges will evaluate line, track mastery, use of space, and quality of execution.
